Gummy Shark Charters

Gummy Sharks are one of our most popular shark charter targets and are widely regarded as one of Victoria's premier sport and table fish.

Don't let their lack of teeth fool you—gummy sharks are incredibly powerful fighters and are famous for their stubborn, hard-pulling nature. Even smaller gummies can provide an exciting battle, while larger fish are capable of creating absolute chaos around the boat.

Not only are they great fun to catch, but they are also regarded as one of Australia's finest eating fish.

Where Do We Fish?

We operate shark fishing charters throughout Western Port Bay and Port Phillip Bay, departing from locations including:

• Stony Point

• Hastings

• Corinella

• Rye

• Sorrento

Our departure location is selected based on weather conditions, tides and where the fish are most active to provide the best possible fishing experience.

When Is Shark Season?

Shark fishing is available throughout much of the year, with the warmer months from December through to May generally providing the most productive conditions.

Gummy Sharks remain available year-round, while many of the larger shark species are most active during the warmer months when water temperatures rise.

Over many years of targeting sharks, we have identified specific tides, locations and fishing windows that consistently produce results. Sometimes these sessions occur outside traditional fishing hours, with night fishing often proving exceptionally productive.

Victoria's waters are home to a wide variety of shark species, with opportunities to target fish in Bass Strait, Western Port Bay and Port Phillip Bay.
